Title: Environmental Health Safety Specialist (EHS)

Location: San Francisco, CA 94107 (Hybrid 2 days onsite)

Duration: 15 months contract (high possibility of full-time conversion)

Job Description

  • Support the vision and strategy of our health and safety programs worldwide.
  • You will collaborate cross-region, cross-team and cross functionally to execute on these strategic plans.
  • Manage data entry of metrics and processes in the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) management system to track and drive progress with compliance and best practices.
  • Develop and review various EHS programs, policies, and training materials in accordance with company policy, local, state, and local guidelines.
  • Facilitate site specific Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Training requirements.
  • Drive and participate in EHS risk assessments and perform periodic facility audits to identify potential EHS hazards/opportunities.
  • Partner with teams in incident investigations to determine root causes and the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Perform routine data / trend analysis, research, and presentations related to EHS performance.
  • Support compliance of COVID-19 workplace protection measures & response.
  • Manage contractor safety program deployment.
  • Develop Safety Risk Assessments (SRAs) to determine site-specific safety requirements such as engineering controls etc.
  • Support efforts of local safety committees.
  • Participate in special projects such as emergency response, cost reduction, and various other duties as assigned.

Skills:

What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years of EHS experience.
  • Knowledge and hands-on application of domestic and international EHS regulatory standards, best practices, and guidelines, such as emergency preparedness, injury, and illness prevention, contractor management, workers compensation, and ergonomics.
  • Strong program development and management skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed. (once a quarter)
