VR/ARPosition Summary BGI is looking for a self-starter to join us as we develop augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR) training solutions for A-10C Thunderbolt II pilot training at Davis-Monthan AFB in Tucson, AZ. Our platform Programmer and Developer will have the opportunity to build a clean-sheet design to bridge the hardware-software gap and set the stage for the development of interactive 3D models in Air Force AR/VR flight training. Responsible for developing interactive models and videos of aircraft, systems, components, and technical drawings for our customers.

Job Responsibilities Duties include, but are not limited to: Works closely with the Program Manager, Courseware Manager, and US Air Force personnel Daily setup and shutdown of VR labs Setup specific VR lab profiles, briefings,

and demonstrations for academic/training sessions Provide instruction to students/instructors on use of equipment Produce/edit/review and stitch raw 360 videos into viewable VR video clips for academic use and maintain training files database Produce/edit 3D drawings/models for academic use Participate in project planning and team code reviews and edits Assist in researching, procuring,

and modifying commercial technology for “proof of concept” testing Provide briefings/tours to demonstrate capabilities of VR lab May be required to travel to conferences, meetings,

or other locations to acquire specialized technical development information Produce/edit/review and stitch raw 360 videos into viewable VR video clips for academic use and maintain training files database Assist A-10C AR/VR/MR Network System Programmer/Administrator, A-10C AVR/MR 3D Modeler Programmer, and A-10C AR/VR/MR 3D ISD Specialist Programmer as required

Other duties as assigned by the Courseware Manager or Site ManagerRequired Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, applied mathematics, or statistics, Game Design, Computer Graphics and Visualization, or an IT/STEM related degree Minimum of 2 years’ experience in software development

or programming Ability to integrate modeling software utilizing the Unity game engine Familiar with and capable of setting up hardware peripherals, networking, and installing software on gaming computers and laptops Experience with user experience design, level design,

and level tuning Experience with Android, PC, and WebGL development Proficient with Vector Math, Linear Algebra, Networking Strong computer science fundamentals Experience developing for Vivi, Windows Mixed reality, Varjo headsets Understanding and application of:

High and low polygon count models Texture mapping Materials (properties) Shaders development Lighting techniques Decimation Baking (texture, normal, lighting) FBX 3D file formats Graphics optimization UX design and Multimedia integration Design cycle thinking, and abstract problem solving Game Production Pipelines Debug and testing automation Photogrammetry, 3d Scanning,

or equivalent technology Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team Ability to work on a team without direct supervision Successfully complete a background check Maintain a valid U.S. driver’s license Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance Preferred

Qualifications Experience implementing 3D applications and simulations with native mobile application development on Android Experience with computer vision, gaming, human computer interaction, and natural user interfaces Ability to clearly articulate and demonstrate emerging AR/VR/MR technologies for improving efficiency in training and operational missions Programming experience with various VR/AR/Desktop

Gaming hardware and software Electronics prototyping, and basic fabrication Accurate Flight model programming for game engines 2+ years’ experience with augmented and/or virtual reality technology and developer experience with Unity and C# Experience in designing and developing applications, simulations, and scenarios in AR, VR, and MR Quality Control/Quality Assurance Self-direction Instructional Design Concepts Experience with JIRA or equivalent workforce management
